Translation Notes

The quotes in the introductory verses are from Isaiah 12:2-3 (Ozi V'zimrat Yah), Psalm 3:9, Psalm 46:8/12, Esther 8:16, and Psalm 116:13, respectively. In prayer books starting in the 19th Century, verses from Psalms 84:13 and Psalms 20:10 are added between the verse from Psalm 46 and the verse from Esther.
